Angel Chili Recipe


Ingredients
* 3 pounds lean ground beef
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
* 1 teaspoon cumin powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon chili powder
* 1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz)
* 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
* 1 (15 oz) can mild red enchilada sauce
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 2 tablespoons masa flour
* 1 cup water
Directions
1. In a large soup pot, brown ground beef in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
2. Add onions and garlic and cook until onions are tender but not brown.
3. Add all remaining ingredients except masa flour. Stir well and bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer over low heat 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
5. Add water as needed according to how soupy you want your chili.
6. When nearly done, add masa flour and stir well until chili thickens.
